Music to my ear holes.

Alright I haven't posted in a while but late into the night last night I came up with something. I'm gonna make small playlists (about ten songs) and name the songs here and maybe why I like them or something and if anyone would like to have this little mixed music thingy I will email it to you gladly!  ill do them once in a while probably. Just message me on fb with your email and you'll get in within minutes. (: hopefully we share the same general music taste other wise you won't enjoy it too much haha. This mix will just be some of my all time favorites. I may have a theme next time. Who knows! How exciting! hahahah. So here we go.

1. 'Black and White' by Generationals
-Pretty groovy song. Great to listen on full blast on like a long drive or something. Good lyrics too. Plus this band is just superb.

2. 'Oak Tree' by Desert Noises
-Pretty sure this is a local band? Not sure but I really dig this song. Pretty vocals.

3. 'How' by Regina Spektor
-This song bring me to tears at times. Beautiful. That is all.

4. 'Caroline' by Nataly Dawn
-Catchy little song, plus she is such a lovely musician.

5. 'Blue Skies' by Noah and the Whale
-Another very emotional song. Such cool instrumentals.

6. 'Whale' by Yellow Ostrich
-Very addicting song. Just sayin.

7. 'Silly Things' by Wild Child
-I love finding a good duet band and these guys are just adorable.

8. 'Tight Rope' by Walk The Moon
-Up beat, Talented band.

9. 'My Body's A Zombie For You' by Dead Man's Bones
-Believe it or not but the singer of this song is RYAN GOSLING. Yes, it is possible for him to hotter than he already is.

10. 'Royal Blue' by Cold War Kids
Such a good band. Such a chill song.

Love is Love, No Matter What.

Ok so facebook pretty much blew up with pro/anti gay right hoohah last night and Ive never been one to join in but guess what? This is not facebook and if you are sick of hearing people opinions i suggest you go back to whatever you were doing. I just want to voice my opinion because I can and I feel very strong about this subject.

Now I as a Girl from Utah, who happens to be LDS, I was raised by two great parents, who taught me above all things, tolerance, open mindedness, and love. These things have always and will always stick with me. I have come encounter with many people in my life, and I dont care if someone is gay, straight, or somewhere in between. I dont think anyone deserves to be treated any different for their feelings or decisions. And I also think you should love everyone regardless of what they decide to do with their lives.

Think about how they feel, people. Think about someone you love, your boyfriend, fiance, or spouse if you have one of those. Think about how much you care about them and how happy they make you feel when your with them. Thats love. Now think of those people who are gay and how it feels to  not be able to be with someone they truely care for and love. What an douche bag move to try and take that away from someone who just wants to be loved and happy.

I have also been very blessed in my life to have a couple gay individuals who I am very close friends with. They are some of the nicest and loving people I know. They are just human beings like you and I who have feelings and deserve to be treated equal.

And I'm not one to really bring up religion on this subject because I know the churches stance and I respect it but I actually am a mormon with my own opinion on the matter. Its unheard of I know. But it's just the way i look at it. Above all things that I have been taught while being raised in this wonderful church is that Love is everything. you need to love god, you need to love your family, your friends and everyone you come in contact with. No matter who they are and how they live their life. Because as long as we do that we will be happy and you will be blessed to get that love back in return by all those you surround yourself with. and who doesn't want something awesome like that?!

Anyway, if you disagree with my opinion on that matter thats fine. I respect your opinions and your welcome to write your own blog about them. I want to read them because I like hearing what people have to say. Im just voicing my opinion just like all ya'll have the right to do too (:

Well Hello.

Been a while folks. I would apologize some more but its my blog so you can kick rocks!

Been wanting to start some art projects but seriously most of them require me finding photo shoot models and no one seems to jump for joy to that so oh well.

I do want to start using my film cameras more though.... Im getting some good inspirations from tumblr, pinterest, facebook and what not and I need some old fashion excitement in my life again (: I miss sending in film and waiting a week to see if they sucked or not!

I have notices lately that the more photo shoots I have lined up, the happier I am. going on shoots and then coming home and sitting on my laptop for hours editing is just pure joy to me! Had lots of fun with prom pics and a little mini shoot for a friend got me all pumped up! I have my first new born shoot next weekend and I have some senior pics and engagements (real ones) coming up very soon (:

I've also been trying to keep up a good weekly workout schedule. so far its good but now i just cant stop eating..... crap.... any tips for not eating a bowl of cereal every hour of the day?? no?? didnt think so. It's like Im in college all over again.

Now all i need is to complain about how much i need my hair to be long and ill have a good list of crap I am not so patiently waiting to happen. hahahaha oh well(:

Silly Things.

Sorry for the "long time, no see" posting I have been doing, or not doing. It's been nuts around here... just quit my last job, and not im off to do something I really love: Nannying. I have always loved kids and I cant wait for my first day on the job tomorrow (:

I've also been quite distracted with a boy so that also doesn't help my blogging all that much (: If I haven't already told you, with girlish giggles, My boyfriend's name is John (: He may be my other half and I love him dearly (:

In other news....

I attended the Passion Pit concert on Saturday with my friend Mitch. Lets just say the music I have on my ipod will never become close to what graced my ear holes that night. Really amazing stuff guys. One of the best concerts I have ever witnessed.

18 years young.

YOU GUYS. Growing up isn't fun.

Growing up is my least favorite thing, and the worst part is you can't even do anything to stop it. I may sounds stupid and childish but I'm starting to really have those growing pains you hear about in high school. Some of which include best friends leaving for college, missions, etc. And some include having to grow up your self, work hard, and officially start your life. Scary stuff, bro.

In other news....

Today was my very best friend Morgan left to the MTC. Im honestly till in the shock and aw phase but im sure it will hit me hard soon. This girl has been my best friend since we were little. I cant believe I won't see her for a year and half. I can hardly imagine my life without her already. I tell her everything and she has been there for me through the hardest stuff. Anyways, i'm sad she is gone but so happy that she is serving the Lord in Indonesia.

I'm really brain dead at the moment, mostly because I had a really hard long day at work, but don't fret. I will write something worth while soon enough. Thanks for reading anyway.

Do What You Do, And You'll Do Fine.

Today there has been a big topic stuck in my mind. Because I am a young adult, working for the man, trying to follow my so called dreams, the thought of "what am i doing with my life?" comes to mind more than I would like it to.

For me personally I just need to get out there and go on my own adventure. For right now, moving to Salt Lake City, going to SLCC, and trying to find a photography gig for a job is my adventure. I really couldn't be anymore excited honestly.  I just hope it all works out as planned....

But in general, I think "following your dreams" and "doing what you love" are things most people have really given up on. And that honestly just makes me sad. I;m not saying that getting your dream career is just a slice of cake handed to you by your mom, I know it takes work and doesn't come easy. But I do believe in karma, and if you want something enough and are willing to work as hard as you can to get there, you WILL get there.

I just think it sucks when people either just take the job that seems like the only option and they just deal with it, or they go to school to become whatever they were pressured to become and end up hating it after all the work and money they put into it. We all know they hate it and they would rather be doing something else.

And that just plain sucks.

Anyway, thats just my opinion.... Sorry for the boring post but it's something I feel strong about.

Hello, My Name Is.

Hello, internet!

This is a blog created by me, Taylor, an 18 year old lady who can never seem to be normal.

This is not my first blog, sadly. I have created quite a few and honestly I just get bored really easily and run out of thing to say. Not that anyone cares to read the things I write on the dumb blogs anyway. But I am determined to begin again!! This time with less of a "dear journal, my day was crappy" kinda vibe.  I want to share my thought on assortments of things, maybe a few stories of adventures, and occasionally an artistic accomplishment of mine here and there.

You want to here a bit about me? Ok sure, if you insist..... Here is 5 things....

#1:  I'm obsessed with old stuff. I love wood paneled walls and rare finds at the DI. If I could live in a thrift store I would.

#2:  I believe there is no black and white in life. I can be deep person when needed, who enjoys a sappy quote once in a while. I think about why things happen and what stuff means all the time. I dont take things literally for the most part but I like to question and challenge ideas.

#3:  When you first meet me, I'm as quite and awkward as a clam. (Except on first dates. I'm awesome on first dates). Eventually though, when I feel comfortable, I can be my full freaky self. At that point people either run to the hills, or stick around for the full experience.

#4:  I am a HUGE nerd. I geek out about anything that has to do with zombies, Star Wars, Star Trek, and pretty much anything else embarrassing that comes to mind. (Thanks to my wonderful weirdo Dad for this one)

#5:  I like to sing, take pictures, eat, lay on my floor, instagram-stalk, and pretend I have life all figured out.

Anyway guys... I hope that I actually keep thing little piece of sunshine going. Wish me luck.
